RESPONSIBILITIES

SUMMARY

The E*TRADE Technology team is seeking an experienced robotic process automation developer to empower a new automation practice for the company. This team member will partner with several departments in the firm to automate tasks and unlock valuable time for people to invest back into serving our customers. As a core engineering team member, you will have the opportunity to implement solutions using the latest in robotic automation and applying your technical, design and analytical skills. You will work and collaborate along side high caliber, motivated analysts, process owners, and other engineers from across the firm in order to deliver business value.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Designing the automation solutions

  • Understand the best way to leverage vendor software to achieve the business results
  • Optimize the utilization of virtual hardware, including cloud solutions, to achieve business results.
  • Provide guidance on best practices of automation, help define standards and patterns for automation

Provide internal consulting services for RPA

  • Partner with various departments to identify processes for automation
  • Provide the guidelines and best practices for creating automated processes for efficiency, reuse, and maintainability.
  • Train and educate line of business analysts on RPA capabilities, process, and tools.

Provide level 3 support

  • Ensure a smooth transition for automation into production
  • Partner with both the process owners, production support teams, and infrastructure engineering teams for continuous monitoring and transparency into bot execution

Provide internal consulting services for RPA

  • Build common activities and components to be used by citizen developers
  • Partner with various departments to identify processes for automation
  • Provide the guidelines and best practices for creating automated processes for efficiency, reuse, and maintainability
  • Perform solution and code reviews of bots under development
  • Train and educate line of business analysts on RPA capabilities, process, and tools

REQUIREMENTS

Required Technical Skills:

  • 4 years or more experience designing, developing and maintaining enterprise scale automation systems
  • Experience with process engineering and re-engineering
  • Core understanding of software engineering principles (e.g. encapsulation, extensibility, maintainability)

Required Concepts:

  • Understanding all aspects of the RPA domain
  • Understanding of multitier application design
  • Agile Software Development Lifecycle
  • Basic brokerage middle and back office operational processes

Required Soft Skills:

  • Team player that directly contributes to delivering value
  • Strong and clear verbal and written communication
  • Passion for technology and for automation
  • Client focus

Candidate may benefit from interest or experience in any of the following:

  • Data analytics experience
  • Experience implementing automation for a combination of in-house and third party vendor applications
  • Implementation of any ML/AI related technologies or use cases related to RPA
  • Experience in building solutions from the ground up; understanding how to navigate ill defined problem sets

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, TRAINING

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or similar technical degree
  • UiPath Academy Developer certification
