RESPONSIBILITIES

SUMMARY

 

The Strategy and Corporate Development team is mandated with driving the enterprise and business unit strategy of the company, as well as evaluating inorganic opportunities and managing deal lifecycle from diligence to closing. As a key member of the team, the Director is at the forefront of shaping the strategy of a digital disruptor in the Financial Services industry and defining its strategic and corporate development priorities. The position primarily requires ongoing interaction with senior stakeholders to prioritize, manage and execute strategy projects for the company’s Retail / Institutional business unit. Secondarily, the candidate is expected to contribute to the broader Strategy and Corporate Development agenda.

 

We are looking for a self-driven individual with an analytical mindset and structured approach to solving a wide variety of problems. Background in wealth management specifically, or financial services more broadly, is preferred. Successful candidates will have experience managing multiple stakeholders, modeling business opportunities, conducting comprehensive benchmarking research, developing project plans, and communicating findings to multiple audiences in both oral and written formats. The position reports to the Head of Strategy and Corporate Development.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the overall development and execution of E*TRADE’s strategic agenda and ensure the alignment of functional strategies with the overall agenda
  • Work closely with the head of Retail / Institutional to identify strategic priorities and scope out projects
  • Perform analyses, financial modeling and due diligence to evaluate new opportunities
  • Collaborate effectively across functions to ensure timely completion of strategy projects
  • Create deliverables for senior management and Board of Directors
  • Conduct competitive assessments and research industry trends
  • Support the Strategy and Corporate Development team’s broader agenda
REQUIREMENTS

Basic

  • Master’s in business administration (MBA) degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of total work experience
  • Post-MBA experience in corporate strategy or consulting, preferably in financial services

Preferred

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Quantitative, analytical and structured mindset
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to be flexible in ambiguous situations and align the interests of multiple stakeholders
