Summary
We are seeking a passionate, proactive and talented UX Designer to join our Design team in Jersey City.

 

About the Design Team
We are a team of many skills with the goal to re-invent convenience for our customers by designing experiences that are modern looking, easy-to-use, easy-to-understand while being respectful of our customers’ emotions from the ups-and-downs of the Financial markets. We are agents of change and have to deal with regular challenges from a highly regulated industry, however we are resilient and keep showing value by inspiring and getting results.

 

About the role
The UX Designer will support our Digital Web Channel team and will focus on acquiring new customers applying conversion design best practices and ensure the onboarding experience is relevant. The UX Designer will work collaboratively to conceptualize, design and test experiences. The role will require effective partnership with Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, User Research and Design Language.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end customer journeys across digital platforms
  • Define the jobs-to-be-done from a deep understanding of customers’ intent and business objectives
  • Define low and high fidelity designs and click-through prototypes
  • Contribute effectively to our design language and help evolve our visual vocabulary and pattern library
  • Collaborate with engineers and QA to ensure design quality at each step of the development process
  • Present designs and concepts to product managers, engineers and other stakeholders

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Technical skills needed

  • Thorough knowledge of conversion design best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of user-centered design principles and approach
  • Thorough knowledge of jobs-to-be-done concept
  • Proficient in Sketch, InVision, and MURAL experience a plus
  • Experience building/working with component-based design systems
  • Experience in A/B testing and informing designs with data
  • Experience applying Accessibility best practices (WCAG)
  • Good understanding of Web technologies and their impact on UI design
  • Experience working in the full lifecycle of Lean/Agile delivery model

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in UX or Design required
  • College or University degree required in Art & Design, human factors or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Digital portfolio for review
