RESPONSIBILITIES
The Account Services Manager will oversee functions of an Account Maintenance team in Jersey City. As an Account Services’ Manager, they will be responsible for managing a team of Operations Analysts. Responsibilities will include the day-to-day management of workload, identifying process enhancements and working with various internal/external business partners.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight at the functional level within the processing team
- Ensure service levels are met or exceeded for all processes
- Work with internal/external business partners as needed to identify and document process and system enhancements for increased productivity, quality and efficiency
- Communicate business status, initiatives, accomplishments and needs to senior level management both verbally and via regular reporting
- Develop and maintain team performance metrics for dissemination daily, weekly and monthly
- Participate in cross functional initiatives to improve policies and or program development
- Work with appropriate Compliance, Legal, Fraud and Audit resources to maintain regulatory compliance and sufficient controls for all functions
- Maintain accurate operations risk policies and procedures
- Maintain knowledge of operational business processes, policies and systems
- Good judgment and business acumen with a keen ability to assess people, processes and products
REQUIREMENTS
Basic:
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (2 years of work experience can substitute for a Bachelor’s Degree)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an operations role, preferably in financial services
Preferred:
- Strong leadership skills
- Experience with rules and regulations governing bank and brokerage accounts
- Financial operations experience
- Must be a dynamic and self-starting individual, able to work as part of a team or independently, with strong organizational skills
- Ability to identify key results and critical solutions that support position objectives
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with little or no supervision/ direction
- Ability to present concepts and gain support at the senior level of the organization
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to adapt to change
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
- Experience with SQL or Tableau
- Experience creating DocuSign forms
- Experience with robotic processing automation (IE UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere)
- Strong analytical skills including ability to research, schedule, analyze and present findings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Obtain Series 99 withing six months
