MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE
Strong experience with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) for monitoring of Windows Server
infrastructure and VEEAM for VMWARE MP for monitoring of VMWare infrastructure.
Experience in VMware vSphere to include the following: ESXi, vMotion, DRS and HA
Hands on experience with Dell and HP hardware
Strong troubleshooting skills (Hardware & Software)
Ability to use command line and scripting tools such as PowerShell or PowerCLI
Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, App-V
Experience providing second level support for users in Citrix XenApp 6.x, 7.x environment
Experience providing second level support for users in VMware Horizon View 5.x, 6.x environment
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Maintain regular communication with management to update them on critical fault resolution progress.
Maintain continuously updated documentation of key applications in order to facilitate the support and improvement of the platform
SKILLS NICE TO HAVE
Experience with Netbackup
Experience with ControlUp and Liquidware Labs
Some experience troubleshooting storage technologies—EMC VMAX/VNX,Nimble, VSAN
Experience with updating and maintaining XenApp master images and implementing policy changes
Experience with App Volumes, Wyse DM, Teradici, AppSense DesktopNow suite, updating images, troubleshooting issues
Experience with BigFix for software deployments and patch management
Experience with SCCM or MDT for Microsoft Windows OS deployments
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, TRAINING
BA or BS degree – Computer Science preferred
Microsoft Certified Engineer (MCSE) a Plus
VMware and Citrix certified professionals a plus
