This individual will be responsible for defining and documenting requirements for a variety of equity plan-related products and services used by our corporate clients and their plan participants. Additionally, this person will work with cross-functional teams to define and manage initiatives that involve enhancements to the Corporate Services product offering, including projects and programs aimed at enhancing revenue, gaining competitive advantages, reducing costs, ensuring regulatory/statutory compliance, and/or improving service.

This job entails end-to-end responsibility for the product development lifecycle which includes:

  • Collecting business requirements from internal project stakeholders and external Client Focus Groups to help define project scope and inform the solution approach
  • Creating Functional Requirements/User Stories to provide details needed to develop new or enhanced functionality
  • Working with the engineering and quality assurance teams on design, implementation and testing
  • Participating in regular meetings with all stakeholders throughout the course of a project’s lifecycle
  • Collaboration with the content and training teams surrounding project launch readiness and documentation creation
  • Leading Business User Acceptance (BUAT) testing efforts by internal business partners to ensure quality delivery of new or updated functionality
  • Partnering with the Product Support team to hand off the new or updated functionality for ongoing support
  • Serving as the long-term subject matter expert for product maintenance and production issue escalations

This role requires a combination of strategic, technical skills as well as creative problem-solving abilities. A successful candidate will be a self-starter with a focus on logical organization of tasks and responsibilities and should have a proven track record of achieving success in a fast-paced, results-driven organization.
* Demonstrate strong product development functional knowledge including an in-depth understanding of the processes, tools and techniques essential to delivering projects that meet the stated objectives on-time and within budget* Acquire intimate domain knowledge of existing Corporate Services products and services, becoming a subject matter expert with respect to current and anticipated functionality, workflows and integration points with other E*TRADE systems* Identify and analyze functional deficiencies in our current product offering and recommend corrective actions* Translate analysis into functional requirements documentation for existing and future Corporate Services applications* Partner closely with a wide range of stakeholders – including Corporate Clients, Client Services, Implementations, Advanced Solutions, Trading, Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance – to ensure that product design and implementation accurately reflect the full range of market, business and functional requirements* Use judgment and analysis to help prioritize areas for product enhancement


* 3+ years of demonstrated experience and success in business analysis, including writing detailed requirements documentation either in the form of a Functional Requirements Document (FRD) or a backlog of User Stories depending on the project development approach (SDLC/Waterfall or Agile respectively)

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience

* Strong project planning and management skills

* Articulate and persuasive in both written and verbal communication

* Combination of strong analytical and documentation skills, ability to think strategically, and deep client empathy

* Capability to understand and balance needs of multiple internal and external project stakeholders

* Effective team collaboration and influencing skills

* Solid understanding of product development life-cycle

* Ability to work effectively within a team of product architects and cross-functionally with multiple and various business and technology stakeholders


* Knowledge of software design and protocols, including Windows software and web site interface standards, including client-server and web technologies

* Understanding of Oracle databases/database design theory

* Equity plan management and corporate services experience either as an issuer or service provider

* Experienced user of Equity Edge Online or legacy Equity Edge software

* Familiarity with the and E*TRADE Mobile platform for the Stock Plans participant experience

* Project experience with both SDLC (Waterfall) and Agile methodology for Product Development

* Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation
