SUMMARY

E*TRADE’S Corporate Services is the leader in equity compensation administration for public and private corporations driving retail brokerage accounts and assets for E*TRADE Financial Corporation. The Proposal Management Specialist will report into the Senior Manager of Content Delivery for Corporate Services. They will be responsible for managing, developing and implementing business development communication initiatives for E*TRADE’s Corporate Services clients, prospects, and leads as part of the sales and service process. This individual should be comfortable balancing business needs of both technical accuracy and persuasive messaging in order to develop proposals that are well-researched and skillfully executed within a defined time period. The Proposal Project Manager will collaborate with our Product Management, Relationship Management, Sales, Solutions Architects, Client/Customer Service Operations, Legal, Compliance and Executive Leadership to develop tailored response to RFIs and RFPs that present our unique product offerings and best in class service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and deliver responses to business development opportunities from clients, prospects or other leads.
  • Identify new and innovative strategies and platforms or tools to effectively respond to business development opportunities.
  • Manage a detailed workflow for multiple projects simultaneously to ensure that deadlines are met. Projects include RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, pricing proposals and ad hoc deliverables.
  • Help define and document team processes and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent completion of objectives.
  • Manage extensive cross-group coordination on responses to business development opportunities at all levels of the organization utilizing outstanding people skills. Internal partners include sales, client service, product managers, creative services, legal, etc.
  • Effectively present created documents to managers and stakeholders for feedback and adjust materials as necessary, including proofreading for grammar and spelling.
  • Create new proposal graphics to illustrate E*TRADE Corporate Services solutions as needed.
  • Provide creative thinking on ways to improve proposal content and overall proposal package.
  • Add new content to RFX knowledgebase; manage current content to ensure it is up to date.
  • Help plan and implement business operations programs and initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS

Basic

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communication, professional writing, business, marketing, or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years professional experience, preferably writing proposals to support corporate sales or account management teams

Preferred

  • Experience writing detailed analytical documents, specifically on equity compensation or benefits, (e.g., software requirements, white papers)
  • Experience using Salesforce is a plus
  • Direct experience in financial services, equity compensation, benefits or HR related fields will be an advantage
  • Very strong teamwork skills, self-starter, detail oriented and proven record of completing projects on time
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Relevant experience in one or more of the following fields: Relationship Sales, Financial Services (especially stock plan administration or benefits), Business Process Outsourcing, Services and Consulting, or related field
  • Solid experience with the end-to-end RFP process (RFP, Response, Proposal development, Client Presentation, Statement of Work and Execution)
  • Strong business and project management, planning and organization skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
